During Patterson's sophomore campaign in 2011, Canon-McMillan went just 2-10 in Class AAA Section 1, failing to qualify for the postseason. The following year...

Going back to the very first district title match in 2009, Mount Lebanon has won 3-A gold every other year including 2009, 2001, 2013 and 2015. This week features head softball coach Casey Phillips of the West Mifflin Titans. Coach Phillips is in his 9th season as head coach of the Titans, and has helped turn the program into a playoff contender. They made the district semifinals in 2013, and following that...

One of the main reasons behind the West Allegheny baseball team’s success this season has been pitching. The Indians number of losses (1) is close to the team’s ERA (1.29). But the Indians are certainly a capable offensive team also, and one of the leading hitters is, of all things, a ninth-grader. He is fourth on the team in average at .370, his slugging percentage is a team-high .704 and his OPS is 1.218...
