With the impact of Hurricane sandy hitting the Northeast United States, weather has become a major topic of discussion. The WPIAL has postponed 14 Soccer Semifinals, 12 Girls Volleyball Quarterfinals and both Field Hockey championship matches from Tuesday to Wednesday.

Here is the statement issued by District 7 officials:

Good morning, due the impending weather we have postponed ALL PLAYOFF GAMES scheduled for Tuesday October 30^th and moved ALL OF THEM to WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 31^st. The WPIAL revised brackets are attached for your review. Please be aware that depending on how the weather system evolves we may move the rescheduled Wednesday games to THURSDAY NOVEMBER 1^st. If this possibility becomes a reality we will notify each school on Tuesday October 30^th. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding!
